Meyer 280: Language Lab

The Language Lab in Meyer Library is composed of three instructional areas.

Classroom

Room 280C (Language Lab Classroom) contains 20 student machines and one instructor station running Windows XP. LCD projection is possible from the instructor station and laptops. The room is further equipped with a multi-format VCR, DVD player (both of which can be projected), as well as an audio cassett deck.

Seminar Room

Room 280D (Language Lab Seminar Room) contains a PC instructor station. The space is primarily designed as a presentation room; however, multiple outlets allow students to connect laptop computers to the campus network and the Internet. A smart panel facilitates easy projection of the teacher station and laptops. The room is further equipped with a multi-format VCR and DVD player (which can be projected), as well as an audio cassette deck

Lab Area

The Language Lab Cluster is a drop-in area for students to work on their assignments. This area has 20 Windows PCs. There are also stand-alone cassette tape recorders for language tape practice. Drop-in facilities are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
