Academic Technology Lab: Consulting

The ATL is a resource center that makes available the latest new media technologies to faculty and their teaching assistants. ATL staff keep up with emerging technologies to provide the latest commercial tools in areas which have a large impact on teaching and learning, including interactive design, file optimization and compression techniques, Web site design, and the digital acquisition of video, audio, text and images.

The ATL supports coaching and project partnerships as primary techniques for promoting faculty use of academic technology.

Lab staff:

  1. Guide faculty as they work on actual projects, providing hands-on technical assistance as well as developing self-help manuals and work aids.
  2. Work with faculty to identify teaching and research needs, and then assist in the planning, development, and production of actual projects
